I think this would be a great way to get all of your required meals (5-6) in order to enhance your metabolism. In fact supplementing with a good quality protein powder is a great way to ensure you're getting enough protein in your diet. Sometimes when you ingest meals the actual protein isn't that much, for example, say you had a chicken breast weighing 5 grams the actual protein content isn't 5 grams. You would also have to account for the water content in that chicken breast. Which would mean the actual protein content would probably be around 30%.
Firstly, egg protein is used as the standard against which all other proteins are measured.
So, the above statement right there tells you how great egg protein is....unless you're allergic to eggs.
Egg protein is made from the egg white and is therefore fat-free and high in protein. It is considered the most perfect source of protein because it is complete in essential amino acids, branch chain amino acids and glutamic acid. It is completely and easily absorbed by the body.
Experts say it's safe to have two organic eggs everyday!
The only caution would be if you don't want additional fat in your diet you then might opt for the egg protein powder.
One large egg (50 grams in weight) has approximately 74 calories, 5 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein and 212mg of cholesterol. ( From the USDA National Nutrient Database.)
