13 Laws of Getting Fit for 2008!

The following is an official document from the offices of Chris Walker to be read by fitness hopefuls.

The XIII Laws of Getting Fit

I. If you’re exercise routine does not include a concern for muscle, good nutrition and moderate aerobics, you will not get fit.

II. If you think having stand alone access to a gym or health club will get you fit, you will not get fit.

III. If you think you can only get fit in a gym and because you don’t have a gym membership you don’t exercise, you will not get fit.

IV. If you fail to plan time for your exercise you will not get fit.

V. If you routinely attempt to workout after 7pm you have a 50% less chance of completing your exercise session and you will not get fit.

VI. If you think diet or weight loss centers are permanent get fit solutions, you will not get fit.

VII. If you think a miraculous diet pill or formula is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

VIII. If you think exercising only one body part (stomach) is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

IX. If you think aerobics/cardio by itself is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

X. If you think walking/running by itself is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

XI. If you think dieting alone is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

XII. If you think eating one particular food is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

XIII. If you think starving yourself is a good get fit solution, you will not get fit.

Now it’s just as silly to challenge these laws as it is to challenge the laws of gravity, “what goes up must come down”, therefore accepting these said laws and allowing them to govern your exercise regimen as such, will eventuate in total dominance of one’s fitness goals.
