“It’s so easy to be beautiful. All you need is a face.” So says a popular make-up ad in one of its commercials. However, you may have a pretty face but what if your skin is not all that to begin with?
When you have beautiful skin, people notice it. This is not just for women, it also applies for men. It just so happens that its women who are more conscious of it (with the exception of gay men.) That’s why this article will focus primarily on how females of any age can have and maintain their beautiful skin.
1. Make sure that cleansing is a part of your daily routine. With the proper product that is right for you, cleanse your skin two times a day. If you can add a couple of natural extracts such as spearmint, or orange, do so in order for your cleanser to enhance its cleaning effect. It can also make you smell good. It’s advisable that cleansing is done in the morning and in the evening before you go to bed. The reason why one must do it in the evening is because while you are sleeping, your body releases the toxins that it accumulated through out the day. Think of all the perspiration and the make up you had on the whole day. Imagine if you didn’t cleanse – those will still be on your skin when you wake up the next morning, though you may not see it.
2. Exercise outside so you could allow your skin to breathe. It also helps oxygen go through your cells. The fresh air will do you good. It may not just be running because if could tire you easily. Something as less strenuous as brisk walking can also do the trick. If you wanna do it indoors, weight lifting not only improves your cardiovascular fitness, it also allows you to have a rosy complexion. This is the side effect and the ‘freebie’ you get from exerting such effort.
3. Every time you get the chance, try to get as much as six to eight hours of sleep. You may not notice it but if you get less hours of sleep, you’re depriving your skin the natural beauty that it can acquire. By staying awake late at night, your skin becomes dried and saggy. Your eyes will also be so puffy and eye bags can also get bigger. Put moisturizer underneath your eyes to lessen the dark circles.
4. Just as getting more oxygen, try to get sunlight, but don’t get too much. If you get fifteen minutes of unprotected sunlight on your skin, that’s like burning a hotdog on the frying pan. The right amount of sunlight helps in improving not only your skin but also parts of your body like your bones. That’s because the skin converts the sun rays into Vitamin D. Vitamin D in the body helps prevent psoriasis, eczema and yes, acne. For a Vitamin D diet, Eat egg yolks and fish, salmon, sardines and herring. Drink cow’s milk.
5. In order to remove the unnecessary toxins in the body, you must drink water. Water flushes out the impurities in the internal organs like liver, lungs, kidneys and the large intestines. Pimples and rashes are developed because the body is not thoroughly cleansed externally and internally. By drinking eight to twelve glasses of pure water a day and taking in a diet full of fiber, your body is thoroughly cleansed.
6. Do not tire yourself too much. Not only do you get less number of sleep, you’re also exposing your mind and your body to stress. This can have an effect on your skin. If you feel tired, have a little nap. You can always wake up after ten or fifteen minutes and do your work again. Remember – even if it may seem so little, it can still have a great effect. The tiniest wrinkle or white hair that you got from being over-worked can multiply later on if you keep tiring yourself.
Finally, give up or lessen the vices such as alcohol and cigarettes. If you like drinking and smoking, wonder no more why your skin is not as clear as a person you know who does not engage in those habits. Alcohol and nicotine in the body can have an over-all effect in your skin.
Make it a great day!
